My rules clearly states that I don't allow them for coats on howrse, since there's no possibility of crediting them.

But can I use it as a reference? Like, I look at the picture, then draw what I see? Not tracing, just drawing.

When it comes to howrse coats I draw a very strict line since it's been a lot of difficulties to pin down when exatly something goes from being loosely baset to being used very clearly as a reference. I always require credits when used as reference too, so it's just easier to avoid any problems with people asking why that person got to use a photo when she on the other hand didn't if I just put a big "No" for all coats/Black Pearl use.
